- Keep it short
- Introduce yourself briefly–by career, role (e.g. mother of 3 children, business leader), or background (e.g. lived here all my life, for ten years, am a voter, etc.)
- Tell Councilmembers politely what you would like them to do as your elected representative–i.e., fund the construction plan for a MRF.
- Tell them why you feel as you do.
- Thank them for listening.
- Or, forget the above and just write, “Please fund the MRF”
- It is best that you use your own words, but it is not necessary. Do what works best for you.
